Epson Portable PC

    Dear all,


    this is more like a general question - I have recently acquired an Epson Portable PC, to which I would like to connect an external 5.25" drive -


    is there a standard pinmap for DSUB25 external floppy drives, or it varied by manufacturer and device types ?


    If the latter is the case, do any of you know what would be the correct wiring on an Epson PC?

    Since floppy ports (shugart bus) always (should) work with open collector outputs, this shouldn't be learning by destroying:

    RE: Externe Floppy am Toshiba T3200
    Kabel zusammengelötet, funktioniert.
    Offenbar unterstützt der T3200 am Parallel-Port nur ein 360k-Laufwerk.
    Damit lässt er sich jedenfalls booten. Dazu muß natürlich der Schalter auf A stehen.
    Der DS-Jumper am Laufwerk muß bei dieser Kabelbelegung auf 0 stehen.
