RAM Karte 48kb Alphatronic P2 Reparatur

Hallo!

Ich habe hier eine augenscheinlich defekte 48kb DRAM Karte.

Sie kommt aus einem defekten P2.

In meiner KISS läuft sie nicht an Stelle der 16kb SRam Karte.

Der Rechner startet nicht, piept nicht, zeigt kein Bild.

Hat jemand ein paar gute Tips, wie ich systematisch vorgehen könnte zur Fehlersuche.

Wenn ich helwie44 † richtig verstanden habe, würde eine intakte Karte in der KISS laufen.

Könnte ich sie alternativ in der P3 testen, falls nicht klar ist, daß sie defekt ist.

Ich möchte ungern den Fehler in einer intakten Karte suchen

Ich meine, dass bei mir die 48K Karte zusammen mit der P3 CPU "teilweise" funktioniert hat, d.h. ich habe eine Bildschirmausgabe bekommen und konnte auch das "ALLOVER" Kopierprogramm erfolgreich laden. P3 CPM funktioniert natürlich nicht, da hier 64 KB benötigt werden.

Ich hatte einige defekte Kondensatoren. Einen ersten Anhaltspunkt liefert die Widerstandsmessung an den Kondensatoren (ohne sie auszulöten). Wenn sie deutlich weniger als 300 Ohm anzeigen, dann liegt vermutlich ein Kurzschluss vor.

Das Allover.imd hatte bei mir nie funktioniert. Vielleicht hab ich damals was falsch gemacht. Das probiere ich nochmal.

Hello Toshi,

Check continuity on pins A1 and A2/4/6, A3 and A2/4/6 and A5 and A2/4/6 of the connector. In case of continuity in the first case implies that any capacitor in the 5V line is shorted; in the second case you would have a short in the 12V line; in the last case the short would be located in the -12V line.

If this board comes from that P2 you picked up recently I'm not sure this is the case. The power supply has protection circuits that shut down certain outputs in order to avoid damage. Its previous owner claimed that the floppy drives reacted to user input from the keyboard, so it may mean that all the controllers were fine and correctly powered. Maybe check the -12V line before the others. Both 4116 and TMS2716 EPROMs need it to operate.
